I'm totally impressed with the number of entries she managed to garner for a blog contest...she had 94 entries by 47 poets from 15 countries!!!
Kirsty Karkow ended up winning first place, Origa's sumi painting on rice paper of pansies and a bee. Paul Conneally from the UK (an old one-time rengay parter of mine) won second place. Third place was split between poets from Slovenia, Russia, and the United States.
One of my haiku was an honorable mention:
кожи малыша --
- Deborah P Kolodji (tr Origa)
That's how it looks in Russian! Cool, huh? In English:
of a baby’s skin --
- Deborah P Kolodji
(I was trying to link to and shift away from Origa's pansy/bee painting - I may have linked too far astray to be a serious contender).
