At the open mic, I read one of my sf poetic works in progress as well as Tim Pratt's nominated poem A Bestiary: Tlaltecuhtli from Strange Horizons. Tim's poem was well received and generated some questions about the Science Fiction Poetry Association.
It seems to me that if various poets included in this year's Rhysling Anthology would put their name in as a featured reader at a poetry reading near them, take one or two extra copies with them & SFPA flyers, it would go a long way towards positive P.R. for the organization. They could even do a walk up reading at the open mic. Even if they don't sell a copy (or have a copy to sell), it just helps to get the word out.
