Eye to the Telescope seeking Persona poems

Eye to the Telescope, a webzine by the Science Fiction Poetry Association, seeks submissions for its third issue, celebrating the persona poem. This issue will be edited by Jeannine Hall Gailey.

A persona poem is a poem written in another voice, that is, a poem in which the speaker is someone other than the writer. Fairy tale characters, mythological beings, aliens, monsters...the possibilities are endless!

A few of the editor's favorite persona poems (and one by the editor:)
--Gretel in Darkness by Louise Gluck

--Sekmet, the Lion-Headed Goddess of War by Margaret Atwood:

--Wonder Woman Dreams of the Amazon by Jeannine Hall Gailey

Please send 3-5 persona poems (poems in which the speaker is someone other than the writer) to Jeannine at before December 1, 2011.
Poems should be included in the body of the e-mail.
