Pacific Asia Museum Poetry Audio Tour

The Pacific Asia Museum is launching a series of audio tours that will be free with admission to the museum and delivered via your own cell phone. The first tour is a poetry tour - local poets wrote poems inspired by the permanent exhibits and the architecture of the museum itself.

My contributions to the tour are three haiku written in the museum courtyard during various haiku meeting workshops there.

Today, from 2 to 5 pm, the museum is launching the tour with a live performance of the tour poems, orchestrated by Kathabela Wilson and the Poets on Site group. Rick Wilson will be providing accompaniment on xiao (Chinese end-blown flute). Thirty-five poets are included in the tour.

I will be reading my three haiku. Other participating poets include speculative poets, haiku poets, and other local poets....
