Poetry and Cookies

Each year in honor of National Poetry Month, the Altadena Library has a special program called Poetry and Cookies. It is organized by Pauli Dutton who produces a nice spiral bound anthology of local poets for the event. This year's anthology includes almost 60 local poets from the San Gabriel Valley.

The reading starts at 2 pm and poets will be selling their chapbooks afterwards. This is the first time I've been able to attend because it had conflicted with the haiku workshop in previous years. I will be reading my poem "A Garden's Fortune Cookies" which was inspired by various trips to The Huntington.
