The Japanese Magnolia tree in the courtyard of the Pacific Asia Museum was in full bloom yesterday when I was there for the haiku workshop. It's interesting how aware of the seasonal changes in the museum courtyard I've become due to the kigo focus of our group.

I had printed up copies of our spring kigo list to distribute at the meeting. The trifold Wendy and I developed has one of my photos of the stone lion with the tree blooming gloriously above it. Yesterday, I took photos of individual blossoms looking down at the top of the lion's head from the stairs.
