The good news is that Stanford Forrester has accepted two of my haiku for bottle rockets #19.

The bad news is that bottle rockets is no longer a paying market.

Not that $1 makes much of a difference either way in the financial picture of my life, it's just that being paid is a validation of one's work, that someone likes it enough to pay for it.

However, Stan cites unexpected increases in printing and postal expenses and felt he had no choice. It was either that or raise the subscription price and he decided to keep the subscription price the same. I can respect that decision.

I really like Stan's editorial choices for the haiku in bottle rockets a lot and plan to continue to support the journal, both by subscribing and by submitting.
