The brochure for the Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose says that it is good luck to see the reflection of yourself and the bridge in the water by moonlight.
Unfortunately, the garden is closed after dark.
So, even though I'm not looking at my reflection and I wasn't there in the moonlight, the garden brought me a lot of luck as far as haiku inspiration in today's workshop here.
The morning was spent in the workshop, the afternoon was spent at the reading where Jerry Ball and Betty and Jim Arnold read haiku they composed on their recent trip to Japan for Haiku Pacific Rim.
