Egrets Reading

Haiku events this weekend

Tomorrow is our normal meeting of the Southern California Haiku Study Group at 2:00 pm at the Pacific Asia Museum.

There is a wedding tomorrow, so we'll be meeting in the "Volunteer Room" instead of the "Blue Room." This room is upstairs occupying the Southwest corner of the building. To get there without disturbing the wedding in the courtyard, walk all the way through the museum galleries until you come to a door. Open that door and then take the elevator upstairs, walking through the library to the outside balcony and then to the volunteer room.

If you tell the front desk you are there for the haiku meeting, you will not have to pay admission to the museum.

On Sunday, the museum is hosting a family day from 1-4 pm with hands-on crafts workshops including origami, calligraphy, sumi-e, collages, mandalas, and haiku for all ages in the museum courtyard and auditorium. The haiku group will be manning a table for this event. If it rains, the courtyard activities will be set up inside the galleries instead.
