Egrets Reading

Illumen and Beyond Centauri

My contributor's copies of Illumen and Beyond Centauri arrived earlier this week.

They both contain moon poems, written in that earlier part of this year where I was trying to immortalize all of the moons of Jupiter and Saturn.

Illumen contains "Ganymede Finds Peace," a 21 line poem about one of Jupiter's four "Galilean moons" broken up in three-line haiku-ish stanzas. It's not really a haiku sequence because the stanzas aren't really haiku, although they were influenced by my haiku training.

Beyond Centauri, intended for younger readers, contains my poem, "Adrastea Sneezes," written for one of the small moons in Jupiter's inner ring.
