Egrets Reading

Dragon Lust

Today, I almost finished "Dragon Lust," my SFPA promotional brochure for World Fantasy Convention.

It's a trifold brochure "poetry sampler" of fantasy poetry written by SFPA members as a way to reach out to fantasy poets who may not feel they belong in an organization called the Science Fiction Poetry Association when, in fact, the SFPA is very much about fantasy poetry, too.

The title comes from Marge Simon's poem, Dragon Lust from Goblin Fruit. I'm trying to obtain a couple of fantasy scifaiku to round things out, but otherwise the WFC giveaway sampler of poetry will include:

Hero by Samantha Henderson (samhenderson) from Ideomancer
cotillion in shards by Mike Allen (time_shark) from Strange Wisdoms of the Dead
Dragon Lust by Marge Simon from Goblin Fruit
Loki by Amal El-Mohtar (tithenai) from Star*Line
The Tale and the Teller by J.C. Runolfson (seajules)
In the Way of the Gate by Jennifer Crow (kythiaranos) from Goblin Fruit
Angerboda's Child by Deborah P Kolodji from Tales of the Unanticipated
Icarus by J.E. Stanley from Amaze

I don't know why I enjoy making these brochures so much but I do. I think they're fun.
