Egrets Reading

Recent Discovery

Los Angeles poet Billie Dee alerted me to a poem she was commissioned to do by the Library of Congress National Library Service about asteroid 9969 Braille.

Billie has been quietly a member of my CinquainPoets group for a number of years, but I had no idea she was interested in space, science, or science fiction poetry until she suddenly appeared on the Scifaiku list.

When I asked her about it, she seemed surprised that I didn’t know of her interests in poetry about science and medicine, giving me the link to her Poem for Asteroid Braille. This poem would be right at home in the web pages of Astropoetica.

Now, I just need to convince her to join the SFPA….
