Mainichi Mystery Solved

Today I received an e-mail of apology from the Mainichi Daily News over the mix-up with this month’s Haiku in English feature. It turns out that the mystery haiku erroneously attributed to me was actually written by Philip D. Noble of Prestwick, Scotland.

It’s an interesting electronic world we live in. A world where a haiku could be published in Tokyo written by a man in Scotland but mistakenly attributed to a woman in California. Fortunately in this electronic publishing age these sorts of errors are easy to fix!
