Egrets Reading

My son and I took my parents to the CSULB Japanese Garden today. I’d spoken so much about it on my last couple of visits there that they wanted to see it for themselves. We bought some koi food and fed the koi, a strange almost otherworldly experience when you place your hand in the water and the fish jostle for position to suck the food right out of your hand with those suction cup mouths of theirs.

It made me feel as happy as a small child.

Then, as I thought about it more, the science fiction compartment of my imagination played games with me, drawing out the weirder side of my muse.
