SFPA Poetry Contest Results

The Science Fiction Poetry Association has announced the results from its first science fiction poetry contest. We had 277 entries from over 150 poets from all over the world. The contest was judged by a three judge panel made up of science fiction poets Marge Simon, Marcie Lynn Tentchoff, and s.c. virtes.

First Place: "Morning, Europa" by Malcolm Deeley
Second Place: "Office Complex, 13th Floor" by Ree Young
Third Place: "Mice Over Fallen Mirrors" by Duane and Cathy Ackerson

The winning poems are now posted here on the SFPA website.

Since I volunteered to notify all of the entrants, I'm in the process of doing that right now. All of the winners and poets who received at least one vote from a judge have been notified. I'm currently working through the rest.
