Egrets Reading

A poem a day...two days behind...

Some of my more industrious LJ friends have decided to write a poem a day for National Poetry Month.

I admit that so far I'm turning out to be a poet slacker. As far as scoring new poems, I feel like UCLA trailing after Florida...

However, my previously written poems are doing well, does that count?

I found out that two of my scifaiku will be in the May issue of Ultraverse and a third poem, "Orbital Resonance (another of my Jupiter moon poems)" will be in the July issue.

Also, another "word poem" challenge cinquain sequence is up at Electica. A Grandmother's Illness was written specifically to use the words amulet, physician, dare, and vertical.

I guess I'd write more poems for National Poetry month if my friends would start tossing me weird assortments of words...
