Egrets Reading

Miscellaneous Publication News

I just found out that my cinquain, "End of an Age," which was inspired, in part, by the Thorton Wilder play, "The Skin of Our Teeth," will be going online at Kaleidowhirl at the end of April.

Another batch of poems was rejected from Lone Star Stories.

And, drum roll please....I'm to be the featured poet in the spring issue of SP Quill. This essentially means that they'll publish a two page biography, a photo, a couple of poems, and ordering information for my chapbooks, as well as for Dwarf Stars.

Speaking of Dwarf Stars, I owe the SFPA a proposal on how to make it an annual thing. This year, 90 poems were nominated for the Rhysling Award, but only 3 of them were under 10 lines. So, the officers seem to agree that something needs to be done for short-short poetry but with 90 nominations this year stretching out the size of the Rhysling Anthology, it seems to me like it might be a bit harder right now, in light of this, to win a re-vote of my short-short Rhysling proposal, even if it did tie last time.

Finally, I just saw the artwork Teri Santitoro (7ARS) did for my first science fiction poetry chapbook, Symphony of the Universe, which will be released by Sam's Dot Publishing at the end of the month. It's gorgeous! I can't wait to see a copy!
