Egrets Reading

Two accepted for "The Sword Review"

Today, I received word that The Sword Review accepted two poems and Abyss & Apex rejected two poems.

Has anyone heard from Tales of the Unanticipated from their last submission period, yet? I haven't had any poems there for years. I always seem to miss the submission period. Although I can understand why it is easier for editors to have specific submission periods, it's more difficult for poets to keep track of all the dates for everything, especially when it's a once-in-a-great-while sort of window. Unless the editor is announcing the open window like ravenelectrick did with Raven Electrick recently, it's easy to let them slip by...

Right now, I'm trying to get something together for The Comstock Review. The open period ends on March 15th. Two of my poems were published there in the early-to-mid 1990's (around the same time I had work in TOTU), but I haven't had anything there since they changed the name of the journal -- it used to be Poetpourri. It occurred to me the other day that I haven't published anything in a literary mainstream non-haiku print journal in quite a while.
