Egrets Reading

The Drive Home

We decided to take a different route back home, driving back on Interstate 40 instead of Interstate 10 so we could stop by Laughlin, Nevada. It seems to me if you’re going to take a road trip, it’s always best to have different scenery on the way back, if it works out…

It was nice to have a midwinter break from the pressures of work. I feel very relaxed and well rested, more than I have in a long while. I’ve written a string of Arizona/Sedona/desert haiku, well beyond what I’ve posted here. Obviously, I need to save at least some what I consider the best stuff for potential publication and such, but I’m hoping you’ve enjoyed the sampling of my thoughts from Arizona.
