Monrovia Canyon Falls

The kids and I decided to go on a family hike, something we've done on many Fridays after Thanksgivings. This time, we decided we didn't feel like driving very far, so we hiked in Monrovia Canyon, where the trailhead is about fifteen minutes away from our house.

The short hike to Monrovia Canyon Falls is only 1/2 mile each way, but we decided to take the long route from the lower parking lot, which made it a 3 mile round trip hike. There was more water than I expected at this time of year:




I wrote a few haiku, got a little exercise, spent time with my kids...life is good.
