The second issue of Doorways, the new horror magazine, is now available. I finally received my copy in person from the poetry editor (and my Dwarf Stars co-editor), Stephen Wilson. We met up at the Haiku Poets of Northern California Two Autumn's Reading yesterday.
In this issue, I am the featured poet and there's a nice interview spread, two of my horror ku, two of my cinquains, and one of my sonnets, in addition to a reprint of an article I wrote on cinquains for the Horror Writers of America newsletter.
Do you get the idea that cinquains is a theme for this issue?
The winners of the cinquain contest are also included in this issue, including Terrie Leigh Relf's winning poem and cinquains by Duane Ackerson, Christopher Danaher, M. Frost, and Marge Simon.
All in all, it's a nice feature and I'm pleased. The only mishap that I can see is that somehow an old photo of me ended up in the issue, one from several years ago before I went on the huge weight loss campaign and lost all those pounds.....
Now that is truly horrific.
