I just finished Kindred by Octavia Butler, a book I should have read years ago when it was first published.
This just days after finishing The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger. Then, in homage to Kurt Vonnegut, I also read Slaughterhouse-Five.
Reading itself is sort of a time travel experience. When I'm in a book, the rest of the world disappears until I come up for air.
